Bangalore rocks? Does it? ;)

So from the title of the blog its easy to understand that it is going to be about Bangalore. So i have been in Bangalore now for about more than a year.
Question: What do i like about Bangalore?
Answer: People :)
Question: Are Bangalore people really so nice?
Answer: Its nothing to do with niceness. Its just so many of them.:P. Just kiddin actually more than 50% of my college junta is in Bangalore.
Question: What about weekends in Bangalore?
Answer: You go to one of the two malls in Bangalore, Garuda or Forum which are less of malls more of railway station. You can meet everyone staying in Bangalore at these two places on weekend.
Question: What else can you do?
Answer: Watch movies. That sounds good, right. You need to book tickets 3-4 days in advance and also need to shell out 300 Rs for a movie. 300 Rs, you kiddin me? I get a PVR ticket for 100-150 in Delhi. Ya you do but this is Bangalore.
Question: How about food?
Answer: Again you need to book your place in advance. And all of them *hu-ha expensive.
Question: How about transport?
Answer: Please dont ask me this one. It has the worst traffic of all places. You are scared to cross the road.  Metro contruction covers 80% of the roads. Autorickshaw will cost more than your movie ticket.
Question: Do you find anything good about Bangalore?
Answer: I do. You can visit places around Bangalore. Its almost at centre for so many nice places to visit. You can go for "go carting",paintball, wall climbing etc sports but to get to them you will have to cross that traffic :P. Also food however expensive,it is good.
Not the best place to be in, but a nice place to hangout with friends.

*hu-ha--- An exaggerated term used to denote SUPER EXPENSIVE.

Hi Shobhit,

I feel you have missed one of the most important and refreshing thing about Bangalore - "Its Weather". This is one aspect about b'lore nobody can deny. With almost 25 degrees and 60% humidity almost round the year, it really is a treat for anybody staying in Bangalore.

Weekends in Bangalore were fun when we came here, but to be frank Malls mein abhi toh Mela lagta hai. With the Sky-Rocketing prices of movie tickets and the reeling gas outlet of auto-rickshaws traveling seems to be a herculean task during weekends.

But, again the nearby places are too good, especially the trekking expeditions. I have been a part of a trek only once, but the experience was awesome. There are so many food-joints here that sometimes you tend to become confused where to go, but again it is equally contradictory to find that all the places are so crowded that you need to book it in advance.

About the night-life in B'lore, everything ends by 11.30p.m. and moreover the police has banned dance floors in most of the pubs and discs. This might make you feel that there is absolutely no night-life in B'lore, but that's actually not the case. Bangalore night-life is pretty cool and the crowd generally is very good as well ( in the true sense of the word ).

Overall, with all your friends around, Bangalore Rocks :-).

Dada,
Apologies, i did miss the weather part. And sorry if I hurt you feelings ;) but i totally disagree on the night-life part. I think it sucks. Shops starts closing at 9,malls are vacant at 9, streets are barren after 10. Anybody disagrees??

Hey, never thought i would be reading a blog from you. Nice articles, and very funny illustrations esp the pic on Nirvana. :)

I have spent only one weekend in bangalore, no mall or night life but I admit that it has many more people and options to have fun on the weekend than here in hyd.
