The debate has been ongoing since long that who is the bigger superstar?Shall we look at their resume?
Shahrukh Khan
Also known as King Khan. Has done around 53 movies till date(excluding special appearances)*.
Most of them were superhit blockbusters.
Is he famous? No doubt about that.
Is he a role model?For some, probably.
Was he under immense pressure due to crowd expectation? Should be.
Sachin Tendulkar
ODIs:422, Tests:156, T20: 1 = Around 1203 days of international cricket.
Like Shahrukh he also is a master in his field. Also known as the master blaster.
Did he do any service to nation making those runs? Arguable, but yes.
Is he a role model? I dont have any doubts about that.
Was he under immense pressure due to crowd expectation? You bet.
Shahrukh has given hit films singlehandedly without much support. And how many times has Sachin done one man army act? Numerous occassions.
So whats the conclusion...isnt it pretty obvious ;)

PS- I am a big Sachin fan and not so big fan of Shahrukh so this blog might be biased towards Sachin. But would surely like to hear someone's version who can term Shahrukh to be greater than Sachin.

not sure since when this debate has been going .... as a matter of fact this is for the first time i have heard or read about this comparison :P ... but if ever this was to come up hers's my take on two guys I have admired the most for close to 19 yrs now ....
SRK is a fab entertainer and an amazing example of self made , hard working man ... He is not as astute an actor as an amir might be or as talented as Mr Bachhan is ... yet he undoubtedly stands at pinnacle of entertainment industry .. a perfect example of harnessing one's strengths. Therefore I believe he is as big a superstar as we can get ...
As for SRT ... he's not a bigger superstar than SRK . He cannot be, for he is not a mere mortal . He is a god even for the atheists ... the bachhans , the khan's will come and go but until the memory continues to serve us well, there will be no other Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar . Across all disciplines there cannot be another SRT ...A nation as diversified as India will never have as unifying a force as the adulation for this legend... and if someone does come around even close to it, I just hope am around to see it

But you already know its not about Shahrukh that i wanted to write, he just happened to be a nice big name to compare with. It was always about someone else :). Really nice to read what you wrote..have always loved to read about him. Please do write on him sometime...you are a good writer :)
